Project No. 1 - Ribbons in the Trees
Supply list:
Ribbons in desired colors
Step 1:
Purchase ribbon in desired colors. I actually found most of my ribbon at the dollar store. These spools had about 3-5 yards on them depending on which ones. I probably bought over 20 spools. The amount of ribbon is all up to you, depending on how many ribbons you want hanging and how big your space is.
Step 2:
I pre cut all my ribbon in the months leading up to my wedding. I cut my ribbons at 60" each. Once again you can decide on whatever length you want
Step 3:
Tie ribbons into tree branches. I did this with just a simple knot. I varied the colors in each tree.
That is it, you are done! This gives a really cool effect especially if the wind is blowing a little bit.

Project No. 2. - Door Seating Chart
Supplies:
Old door with panes (Yard sale, junk yard)
Paint, in desired color (Home Depot)
Window Marker (Hobby Lobby)
Step 1:
Sand and prep door for paint.
Step 2:
You will want to tape off the window area for painting. Paint door desired color.
Step 3:
Once the door is dry, remove tape. Once you remove the tape, clean the glass with glass cleaner.
Step 4:
Grab your window marker and write the table # and names of guests on each pane.
Step 5:
You can choose to hang your door vertically or horizontally, of course you will decide this before putting names on the door. We did not hang ours, we placed it onto a table. This was only because we had no where to hang it.

Project No. 3 - Pumpkin Centerpieces
We had a family friend grow some pumpkins for us and we also got some from Carvers farm locally. The branches came from my own back yard.
Things to buy for prep
Foam to put in the base of the pumpkins (Hobby Lobby)
Moss, there are many different colors. We chose the brighter green to give extra pops of color (Hobby Lobby)
Stencils for table numbers (Hobby Lobby)
Paint for table numbers (Hobby Lobby)
Spray paint for sticks (Home Depot)
Plaster of Paris to set the sticks in place (big bag at Home Depot)
Step 1:
Collect your branches that you are wishing to use. I cut my from my own trees, but you could collect these from just about anywhere. Trim the branches back to the correct height you are going for. We tried to select ones that didn't have to many branches so people could see across the tables, but had plenty of height.
Step 2:
Find some plastic cups or bowls, which ever works to set up as your base. I used cups because they didn't take up as much room and were taller. Mix plaster of paris in a bucket. I would only mix this one at a time, because it sets up fast and you don't want the remaining mixture to set before you can pour it. Place stick in the middle of the cup, pour plaster of paris around the base and fill up the cup. Prop up sticks some where that they aren't going to fall. I set mine on the floor and leaned them up against the table. Plaster of Paris sets in about 10 mins.
Step 3:
Take sticks outside and spray paint them in your desired color. I painted mine in a bronze color just to give it a little extra sparkle. Or you can choose to not paint them at all.
Step 4:
Carve out tops of pumpkins and hollow out all pumpkins.
Step 5:
I chose to do every other pumpkin with sticks and without. So on the pumpkins I placed the sticks in, I painted the table number on the outside with a taupe paint (once again, use what ever color you like). I chose to have every other number be different. So I carved some pumpkins with table numbers and had others with the sticks in the center. So on the even numbers we carved out the table numbers, then I took a power drill with a 1/2" drill bit and just drilled random holes into the side to allow light from the candles to shine through.
Step 6:
Place the sticks with the cups in the center of the pumpkins. Stuff florist foam on the sides of the cups to balance out the sticks and keep them from falling over.
Step 7:
Place moss on the top of the pumpkin flowing out. We did not glue this or anything, we just filled the tops of the pumpkins. This will cover up the foam and plaster of paris in the inside of the pumpkin as well as finish the look.
Step 8:
Place candles in pumpkins that are carved and arrange on your tables.
You could also find hanging votive's to hand from the branches as well. This helps add some light to the centerpieces as well.
They did such a fabulous job with every detail and the wedding was absolutely stunning! Thanks for a great post, Dana!
